Since the beginning of our planning and designing process for #TheOldForgeCottage 🏡 Mr Dad has been telling us that he’s been dreaming of a duck egg blue kitchen. Not just any blue, but he loves the English classic shade of duck egg blue!
However, Dr Auntie and I are more keen on having a pink kitchen. We are not a big fan of pink but we’ve used other shades for the rest of our house and we think the shade of pink will make a nice contrast to the hallway of the stable building.
Obviously Mr Dad cringed at the idea of having a pink kitchen. And oh boy, we all struggled to find the perfect pink for our kitchen since none of us are pink lovers.
After testing dozens of pink paint samples, we finally settled on the #CinderRose from Farrow & Ball . It’s not really a pinky pink but more of a dusky pink. Or as described by @farrowandball,
#CinderRose is a wildly romantic rose pink. 😍
Anyway, we didn’t leave Mr Dad broken-hearted since he is the Head Chef of our home. We surprised him with a duck egg blue range cooker instead! 🥰
In the end, we all lived happily ever after…🤪
